Recently, you and your group handled a sale for my mother. Mere words can't adequately convey our gratitude. Thanks to Joe Cleary Jr. of The Cleary Group for making an international real estate transaction between Europe and Pelican Cove as stress-free as buying the house next door. Joe showed us the units available in Pelican Cove at the time of our short visit to Sarasota. He gave us a fair picture of the pros and cons of each available unit and a history of the most recent sales on the property. He showed us an appropriate unit in the price category we had specified, as well as comparables in other price categories. He took us back for a second look, and gave us a friendly introduction to the owner of the unit. He wrote up and submitted our bid promptly, and reported progress to us as the negotiation went successfully forward. Joe recommended to us honorable people to deal with our mortgage brokerage, title and settlement attorney, and homeowners insurance agent, and gave us a good, detailed local map and even a tip for a hotel in the area.
Joe showed us the Pelican Cove property and gave us a history of the estate, and he introduced us to the staff in the administration office. He gave us reading materials to familiarize us with the rules of the condominium association.
After we had returned to Europe, Joe arranged for the home inspection, and sent us the report by email. He followed up for us on repairs to be done. He made a separate trip to the unit to check on its condition after the former owner had vacated, and he turned off the water and the hot water and adjusted the air conditioning, leaving written instructions to help us when we return to the property. He got a key to the unit and sent it to us in Germany. He sent us the phone number of the Power and Light Company, with a friendly reminder to have the account put into our name.
Most recently Joe has visited our unit to replace something the former owner had mistakenly removed, Joe observed that the air conditioning was not functioning correctly, he notified us immediately, and offered to follow up on an existing service contract, or to have the equipment serviced by a recommended contractor. His alertness and caring may have saved us damage to the unit from humidity during the months of our absence.
I am sure I have failed to state many of the thoughtful, patient and uncompensated services which Joe Cleary, Jr. has provided to us. Mere words cannot adequately convey our gratitude to him for going the extra mile, four thousand miles in this case, to be where we could not be and to do for us what we were prevented by distance from doing ourselves.
This happy new Pelican Cove home owner will recommend Joe Cleary, Jr. and The Cleary Group to any prospective buyer, no matter how complicated their circumstances may initially appear. Joe can handle an unusual situation with professionalism, thoughtfulness, patience and grace. Thank you Joe!
